About Nighbert UMC

Nighbert Memorial United Methodist Church was formed by the coalfield community in Logan County, WV in 1893, and for well over a century the church has been a spiritual breath of fresh air in Logan County, spreading the good news of God’s kingdom and putting God’s love in action. We are in the heart of downtown Logan and seek to be the heart and voice of our community. Our mission is to partner with God to bring God’s kingdom nearby loving God, loving our neighbors, and serving others here at your Community Church seeking to build Community together.

Nighbert is a church that welcomes the stranger; that seeks to serve the community in the name of Jesus Christ; that stands for the promotion of all moral and religious activities; that hopes for the attendance and support of its members, and cordially invites all to come and worship here.
